As a composer, Joel got his start while music directing a professional theatre's summer TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences) program. In an attempt to have some better material to work with, he and the director were commissioned to write one of the shows. His new adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood was a huge success and won the NH Theatre Award for Best Original Show and ever since he has continued to write. To date, Joel has written several TYA Shows, a Big Band Radio Show, and a unique musical adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He has just recently begun a new project surrounding the life story of the Brothers Grimm.
